Elizabeth Ryan Photography Blog bio picture

about us:

We are dream believers.  We are in love.  We want you to expect greatness.  We love city-living, but will never forget our small-town roots.  Family means the world to us.  Waking up with a smile on our faces every morning because we love what we do is our key to success.  We appreciate artHelping others is our passion.  We are spontaneous.  We can’t resist a good dessert. Traveling is always on our to do list.  Being Bucknellians pushes us to new heights.  We embrace technology and social media.  Meeting new couples that are madly in love makes us smile. We believe romance makes the world go round.  We will capture every detail of your day.  We love it when a bride and groom becomes our life long friends.  We specialize in weddings because it reminds us of how special every day is in our relationship.

Sharing our talent of emotion-capturing photography is what we do best.  And we can’t wait to share our talents with you.

We are Elizabeth and Ryan, and we are Elizabeth Ryan Photography.

“Paris is more beautiful in the rain” | Europe 2012 Part 3

After a 12 hour overnight train ride, we could not be more excited to arrive in Paris.  We gathered our bags and barely made it through the narrow hallway to exit the train.  The first thing we saw when we exited was three French soldiers armed with machine guns walking back and forth on the train […]

“the future is now” | The $100 Startup Review

A few weeks ago, I was reading a few of my favorite blogs and read that Chris Guillebeau was looking for 100 readers to help him out by reviewing his pre-released book (The $100 Startup).  After jumping up and down in his blog comment section- thinking in the back of my mind, with such a […]

A love for travel and dreams coming true | {uniquely us}

As a child growing up, neither Ryan or I traveled much with our families.  Our vacations usually consisted of road trips… there was an airport in our small town, but flights to and from Williamsport Regional were always quite pricey and very limited.  Flying was rarely an option- so taking an 18 hour road trip […]

Last week was EPIC! WPPI 2012 Recap

Whoa!  What a week.  I hope this blog post will do it justice… it was pretty incredible. I must say that each year WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photography International Conference) provides a completely different experience for us.  We are always super excited about learning and soaking in as much knowledge as possible, but that always […]

Ryan’s 3 words for 2012 | {uniquely us}

So, Liz and I went to the post office this afternoon.  It wasn’t the first time we had been to the post office together, but this time felt different.  We had a huge stack of packages to mail and since it was my second day full time on the job it almost felt like I […]

Liz’s 3 Words for 2012 | {uniquely us}

Ohh happy day!  Today is the first “official” day that Ryan finds himself working in the Elizabeth Ryan Photography office full-time!!!  Our friends suggested I give him a hard time today by making him fill out a ton of paperwork and make me a bunch of copies on our very small printer/copier… but I decided […]

Our Today Show Dreams {uniquely us}

We have this dream.  We wrote it down a few years ago when we started our list of 1001 Dreams to Achieve.  It reads… “Be on the Today Show for Making a Difference.”  As we continue to add to the list, I have since added, “Be the official photographer for the Today Show Wedding.”  Yes, […]

A lesson in confidence and in life {Uniquely Us}

As we sat in Pat’s Cafe in San Francisco, we reflected on our trip.  We ate our tasty breakfast (yogurt and granola for me and a crepe for Ryan) and could not wait to get our journal out to make sure we remembered every single feeling we felt that morning.  It was magical! Leading up […]

Travels and reflections on being a 1940’s bride and groom

As we sit in the Dallas airport watching the departure status computers update the flight schedules with delayed flight after delayed flight, we look around and all we can see is stress and tension.  But when we look at each other and collectively take a deep breath (just a little something we learned how to […]

Frappuccinos, warm sand, and scarf-made beach towel {our story}

We stood in the parking lot waiting for the shuttle to pick us up to catch our flight.  As we stood there half awake, (freezing because when getting dressed we pretended like we were already in Florida), I realized that I have never stood in that airport parking lot during daylight hours!  ;)  It is […]
